Columbus and Flight 19

Hey thanks for visiting my blog again, you may be interested in this one... so continue reading! In 1492 Christopher Columbus navigated with his navy on the three ships: the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. Although you already know this fact, maybe you don’t know the following: when Christopher Columbus and his navy sailed to the Atlantic Ocean their compass started to went haywire, then they saw weird lights like fire in the horizon of the sky.(Dr. Michael Preisinger)

Today, scientists give hypothesis for that; the compass went haywire because its accuracy wasn’t good and it had discrepancy between the magnetic north and the real north. For the lights that Columbus saw, scientists believe that it was a meteor that was passing near the Earth. Since that time the Bermudan Triangle was discovered; as I already said in my last blog two events that blame this mysterious triangle were the Flight 19 and Mary Celeste.(Dr. Michael Preisinger)

Flight 19 was a weird one; supposedly all the pilots have experience and when it launched it was a clear day with few clouds and conditions of not rain. There were five planes, in each one there were 3 people aboard, but only 1 person didn´t aboard the plane so there were 14 people in total. LT. Charles Taylor was leading the flight and he was the one with more experience, it was a good flight, but something went wrong: the compass gets out of control so the pilot flies by “pilotage”. They get kind of lost and a storm appeared to make the flight more difficult, then no one knew what happened to it. The flight 19 probably sank over the Continental Shelf, where is very difficult to find something in those waters. (Dr. Michael Preisinger)

Well that’s all for today, I hope you follow me next week (:

Hello, I just finished reading your post and I was very impressed about your information of the Bermuda’s Triangle that was found by Christopher Columbus. I had never thought that there was a theory in which it said that meteorite was the main cause of creating Bermuda’s Triangle. All this was so unexpected that it really surprised me and also it is incredible that we have learned more about Bermuda’s Triangle.

Even though it’s still unknown of what it was created or what was the main cause of the creation of Bermuda’s Triangle. I would like to have more information about the light that Christopher Columbus saw with the other ones, because I really want to know why the scientists conclude that it was a meteorite and how they could prove it. Well, I am not asking this because I doubt the scientist theory, but because I really want to know what experiments they did or what they found so they could come to that result. Then that means that the reason that airplanes and ships have disappear was because of the meteorite that fall down in the Bermuda’s Triangle, which is also causing the compass have problems and the radio don’t function in the appropriated way. If it is so then it is more reasonable for all these accidents that have happen during those years, which was really bad news and also it was too sad for those people whose family was on the Flight 19.

I hope they can find more about Bermuda’s Triangle, in order they can start finding a way to solve these problems as fast as possible. In order it can be stop this accidents happening again as the accident of Flight 19 and Mary Celeste. I hope those accidents never occur again, because it is really sad; even though it is interesting and is a way we can learn more about the world.

  2. Hi Luis, I have been visiting your blog and you have really interesting information about your topic. This time you were right, of course I know who Christopher Columbus was, a Spanish who wanted to travel to India but thought he will reach his point even though he went the other way around the world. He make this trip in the three boats, the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria, finally he reached Cuba discovering a new continent which is now a day’s America, but what I didn´t know was about his compass when traveling near the Bermuda triangle, you say it make a different reaction when being near this point, but it will be very interesting to know what really happens there, have an exact detail, because I have also known about the flight 19 and have heard something about the Maria Celeste cases, that you have already mention. Maybe we will never know the truth but still we can find out more theories to develop a good answer to these interesting questions. What happens in the Bermuda Triangle?... What happen to these people and transportation vehicles?... etc.
Thank you for posting this in your blog now I know a little bit more about the Bermuda Triangle and I will visit your blog soon to see if you have found something out, even though you always have interesting information about the Bermuda Triangle that will help us find out, helps me understand, and help me learn more about this place.
